The newest Dog Man book, Mothering Heights was just released in March and many are quite excited about the recent Dog Man Adventure!

This class will get your child excited about Dav Pilkey's 10th book in the Dog Man series through an interactive read aloud class. Your child may already have read the book prior to class, is just getting ready to read, or in the midst of reading--all are welcomed!

We'll start off by sharing about our favorite part in book 9, Grime and Punishment . Please note Your child is invited to draw/write a picture prior to class about his/her favorite part from this book, but is not required. I like to offer that as a pre-class activity as it can be helpful to some learners to already have their idea written/drawn to share out with others in the class.

Then I will share the first bit of the book (about 10 minutes) with the class in an interactive read aloud structure. I'll be reading aloud the book and learners will engage in sharing connections, predictions, and responses to funny parts as we go!  We'll then play a fun game of "Guess that Dog Man Book" using scenes from various books to figure out which Dogman book is being shown.  Please know, it is helpful if your child has read at least 4 Dog Man books to play our game. Time permitting, we may learn how to draw one Dog Man character, 80-HD!

As this class will only meet once, your child will be encouraged to finish read Mothering Heights (if not already read) and invited to post about their favorite part of the book on our Outschool class page.
