****Students will use Nearpod for this class, an interactive program that will keep your travelers engaged. Once enrolled, I will send a document that explains how your traveler can easily use Nearpod with Zoom on one or two devices.**** Put on your swim gear, princess dress, or your Mickey ears, and let’s travel together to Australia to visit Nemo, Dory, and their friends! On this trip, we will learn where Australia is, color the flag, see some typical animals such as the kangaroos and fish, travel underwater to see a coral reef with virtual reality, visit the Sydney Opera House, and learn about some typical food. We will also make Australian fairy bread! At the end of every trip, we do a quick review to test the knowledge we have learned together in Australia. We will learn through a variety of ways such as coloring, drawing, pictures, videos, reading, slides, and virtual reality. Make sure you have your passports ready! I can’t wait to see your travelers in Australia soon! In the materials section, you will find everything you need for this class. Not quite ready to travel to Australia yet? That’s okay! - A printable Australia coloring page provided prior to class (optional) - Something to color with (crayons, colored pencils, or markers) - Food activity supplies: A slice of white bread, butter/margarine, nonpareil rainbow sprinkles, a plate, and a knife for spreading (optional if you don't want your child to participate, online activity will be available)
