每週 1 小時. Each week learners can expect a weekly video lesson to be posted to the Outschool classroom on Monday at 12 PM EST. Your child will have the entire week to watch the video lesson and join in on discussions, interactive activities, virtual Q&A sessions, and reflection prompts posted throughout the week. Each week's tasks, including watching the video and participating in class activities, should take about an hour to complete. To make things flexible and self-paced, your child has one week to finish each task after it's posted. For instance, if a discussion prompt is posted on Talk About It Tuesday, your child should respond to the prompt by the following Tuesday.
評估
Since this is an enrichment class, there will be no formal assessments. While there are no formal grades, parents can expect to receive two progress reports on their learner's engagement, class participation and overall progress in the class.

Did you know it's possible to shape your child's taste in music? A study from Deezer, a global music streaming service, suggests that the ideal time to introduce a child to diverse music is before they turn ten. The research found that 82% of parents observed positive responses from their kids when exposed to new music at a young age. However, after turning ten, this positive reaction decreased significantly to only 11%.

What does this research mean for music education? It indicates that early exposure can have a lasting impact on a child's musical preferences.

This FLEX class has been crafted to expose learners in this important age range to a wide variety of musical genres. Each week students will learn about 1-2 new musical genres through videotaped lessons, discussion prompts, and singing or rhythmic activities. The overarching goal of this class is to expose the learners to new musical genres and expand their musical palette.
