In this one time course, your child will learn a simple strategy to use when solving word problems. We will discover the C.U.B.E.S. Strategy (Circle, Underline, Box, Evaluate, and Solve) and practice the skill during the class. Students will learn what it means to understand and then solve a word problem by breaking it into more understandable parts (C.U.B.E.S.) as well as how to determine the correct operation based on the key words in the question. We will have several opportunities in the...
- Students will improve their abilities to solve word problems by using the C.U.B.E.S. Strategy to determine important parts of the problem and how to solve it.
