In this class we will be designing an escape room game just for dad! Using a basic method, the students will be inspired by the things dad likes. Learners will create riddles/poems, math problems, tactile puzzles, maps/drawings, and a cyphers to lead dad to his goal: a handmade gift for Father's Day! We will talk about escape room games and why we like them, then talk about our dads! This will determine each individuals escape room theme, based on what their dad likes. It is important that...
Students will learn how to create a personalized escape game for a loved one using riddles, math problems, puzzles, and cyphers. Student will practice their creativity by using what they have around the house.
Things needed to create your game: scissors, paper, envelopes, something to color with (markers/crayons/colored pencils) a box of any size, a 4 digit lock if you have one (if not, "create" one with paper/cardboard and cut it out). Gather things you might want to use for your game. Some examples: backpack or suitcase, tool/tackle/cardboard box, rope/string/yarn/fabric, flashlights, cracker or cereal box, wood scraps, etc. Please have your hand made gift for dad finished before class and ready to show! Don't let dad see it, it's a surpaise!
