During the days students do not join, they are encouraged to practice on their own using what they have learned in class. This will also be talked about in class so they feel comfortable trying on their own.

課堂經歷

This will be an interactive class meaning students will watch me, try and together we will do the meditations and breathing exercises.

We will review and practice at least two meditations and breathing exercises each week. This class is offered as one-time and is offered 3 to 5 times each week at the same time on those days the student can join as available.  [This same class is offered as an ongoing class 4 times a week if that is a preferred option and which provides a bit more consistency to the meditation practice.]

We will focus on one or two meditations and breathing exercises each week. The purpose is to find a practice that works for the students to get comfortable with to use - not to rush into covering more and more meditations. This will come over time with practice. 

Some of the different methods to be used include:

Meditations - sampling
- silent sitting meditation concentrating on a word
- silent sitting meditation focused on the sound of the breath
- sitting meditation listening to gentle, relaxing music or sounds

Breathing exercise - sampling
- breathing in and out of nose
- breathing in the nose and out of the mouth
- humming bee breath - breath exercise that sounds like the buzz of a bee

I am an experienced Certified and Registered Yoga Teacher with over 500 hours of teacher training on topics of yoga, mediation and related areas. I also hold a Masters Degree in Organizational Psychology which was part of my business professional life where I coached people on professional and personal topics. In this role in different organizations I used a variety of techniques to help people bring a sense of balance to their day. Many of these techniques included mediation and breathing exercise, which I also use today when teaching in my yoga and meditation classes and regular teaching since meditation and breathing exercises truly can help to bring a sense of balance to anything we do. I love every minute of teaching these techniques to children.
