In this class, we will cover the basic single crochet stitch, magic circle, how to use markers, and counting our stitches. When necessary a new stitch may be introduced. We will also join multiple pieces to create a cute plushy using a pattern. I will also cover how to read a pattern using universal coding for the stitches. Students will learn the basic crochet stitch (single crochet), slip stitch, how to create a magic circle, how to attach multiple pieces, and how to finish a crochet piece by weaving in loose ends. Students will also be able to discuss and ask questions with others who share a similar interest.
H (4.5 mm) crochet hook 8 ply worsted weight yarn (in the color of your choice - this is typical craft yarn) Stitch marker (these can be purchased or a safety pin or piece of contrasting yarn can be used)
