Learning how to use the Cricut can be overwhelming. During this on going, join any time for as long as you want, class students will learn how to use the Cricut machine to make cards. During each class, we will discuss the size and layout and different options for making cards. Students will get to create their own unique cards and share ideas that they either made or would like to learn to make. We will learn how to use different tools available with the Cricut and much more. Each meeting is open to students of all levels. We will review basics to start with and go from there. Each month will have a theme, but students can make whatever type of card they want (even if it doesn't follow the theme). January - Winter / Let It Snow February - Valentine's Day / Winter March - St. Patricks Day / Spring May - Spring / Favorite Animals June - Summer Fun / Fourth of July July - Fourth of July / Summer Fun August - Back to School / Apples September - Fall October - Spooktacular Cards / Veteran's Day November - Thanksgiving Day / Fall December - Holiday Fun / Winter Week 1 - October 23rd - Basics of making a card. Work on card for this month's theme. Share cards and or ideas. Week 2 - October 30 - Basics of making a card. Work on card for this month's theme. Share cards and or ideas. Week 3 - November 6 - Basics of making a card. Work on card for this month's theme. Share cards and or ideas. Week 4 - November 13 - Basics of making a card. Work on card for this month's theme. Share cards and or ideas. Week 5 - November 20 - NO CLASS. THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY.

Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to visit my virtual classroom. I am a certified teacher offering classes in Spanish, English as a Second Language, Reading, and elementary school subjects and crochet. When I was in high school, I had an opportunity to internship at an elementary school and from that moment I fell in love with education. I went on to get my degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and have been teaching ever since. I started out in the regular elementary classroom and then had opportunities to teach Spanish, Reading and English as a Second Language.
I love helping children grow as learners. It gives me great joy to see them learn and achieve their goals. There is nothing better than working with a struggling reader and hearing them say "I can read this!" I believe that children learn best when they are having fun, and feel safe. It is my goal to make each child feel this way. I want them to know that they matter to me.
I was born in Venezuela and moved to the states at the age of 10. This has helped me connect with my ESL students in the past because I understand what they are going through. In Venezuela they speak Spanish, which is why I feel comfortable teaching Spanish to young learners. I have 3 kids and I decided to work from home so that I could enjoy as much of my time with them as possible. Time flies and I want to continue working in education and encouraging children to find a love of learning.評論
