In this class, we will stretch our minds and think creatively! Our world needs creative thinkers and skilled problem solvers!

There are 4 dimensions to describe creativity. We will cover one dimension during each meeting. 

Day 1: 
Fluency-- generating lots of ideas, making lists, brainstorming (example: How many orange things can you name? How many round things can you name?)

Day 2: 
Flexibility-- the ability to look at things from a different viewpoint (example: What are new uses for an umbrella? If we didn't have rakes, what would be another way to gather the leaves?)

Day 3:
Originality-- generating unique, unusual, or unexpected ideas and products (If you could make your own holiday, what would you celebrate and how? What are other uses for a paper clip?)

Day 4:
Elaboration-- adding details, filling in gaps, and completing new ideas (example: Given a sheet of 10 circles, students will transform the circles into new designs. Looking at a picture of a flower, students will turn it in to something else.)


Learners identified as gifted and talented would do well in this class, but all are welcome to bring their ideas and stretch their mighty minds!

NOTE: If you have taken my Might Minds: Creative Thinking Class, the concepts are the same, but I will use different activities in this class to change it up.
