In this course, students will brainstorm, write and share their short stories with each other. For the first 30-40 minutes of class, we will go over how to develop a short story. I will present a Google doc with an example of a short story that I wrote. I will then present a Google doc with ideas on how to brainstorm a short story as well as write a story outline. Learners will also be provided with a list of appropriate story topics/genres to choose from. Learners will be taught what to...
Students will learn how they can better develop their creative writing skills. We will focus on strengthening character and plot development as well as parts to a short story.
I have worked previously with students in a school setting on creating and sharing their own short stories.
Students should bring a sheet of paper or notebook as well as a writing utensil.
