This is a class to improve creative writing, storytelling. The students will be able to select the topic of their story, which must be age-appropriate. On the first day, topics will be chosen and approved. From there, students will practice brainstorming, methods of story organization, and creating their story. I will model for them proofreading and peer editing. They will then be put into breakout rooms for peer review. The final draft will be made ready for the presentation. Illustrations are optional, and I will allow it if the student would like to show illustrations with the story. 
I use many methods to have my students understand and enjoy the writing process, including music and illustrations when effective. My classes are interactive. Your child will be interacting with me and other students. Students will need to know how to read and write to participate in this class.
