Is your student struggling to make their characters seem real and believable? Maybe they're struggling with a story they just started, or they are still in the planning stages. Either way, this class will help them develop more compelling, complex characters. Each week, we will methodically work to develop students' characters in their stories. This will help them understand their backstories, appearance, personalities, as well as their voice. We will complete questionnaires, create mood...
Students will be able to create compelling, complex characters for their current writing projects.
I am a middle and high school English teacher, and I have a master's degree in English and Creative Writing. I've been teaching creative writing in some compacity for nearly a decade. I am a writer myself with knowledge of what the publishing industry is looking for.
