I have a master's degree in English and Creative Writing. I am also an adjunct English professor at a local college.
Students will need access to a word processor such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs in order to write in class. They may also use a notebook/paper, but they need to have an easy way to take a picture and upload it to the classroom for our peer review time.
