Creative Writing: Celebrate World Space Week (Celebrated from October 4-11, 2023) In this class, students will get to express their love of space through various writing activities. This class will meet live four times during one week for 45 minutes each class. Day 1 - Roll a story - Together we will use virtual dice to roll the story elements that students will include in their stories. We will roll to design a space creature and its habitat. Students will practice writing using fun, space-themed prompts and activities. Students may or may not learn or improve their skills and abilities in brainstorming ideas, writing, speaking, sharing a story in front of a group, and receiving and giving positive comments.
- Degree in Elementary Education - I have been teaching writing classes weekly on Outschool since July 2020.
- Something to write with (pencil, pen, keyboard if your learner would prefer to type their story) - Something to write on (writing notebook, sheet of paper, computer if your learner would prefer to type their story) - Optional on Day 1 (Roll a story) - crayons, markers, colored pencils, extra paper to draw a picture of the space creature and habitat they design - Optional on Day 4 (If I were an astronaut) - astronaut printable (will be sent by the teacher before class begins), crayons, markers, colored pencils
