創意寫作營

This is an open and interactive creative writing class for teens (recommended ages 10-15) who enjoy writing and want to spend some time honing their craft. 
Each class session will explore a different aspect of creative writing according to the following schedule: 
Monday: Plot
Tuesday: Character
Wednesday: Themes
Thursday: Dialogue
Friday: Setting

Writing Genre Fiction
- fantasy

- realistic fiction
- science fiction
- action/adventure

Writing Strategies
- vocabulary
- sentence structure
- character development
- plot development
- narrative voice

Writing Style and Editing
- finding your voice
- developing narrative voices
- working on drafts
- varying word choice and tone
- editing techniques

Students will have the chance to look at samples from novels and short stories that offer excellent examples of these elements and will be able to practice writing in the style of famous authors, including Edgar Allan Poe, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, and more!
The class will focus around a lively and interactive discussion, and I will introduce slides and games to keep everyone engaged!
Additionally, students are welcome to send me examples of their work for feedback. They can send work that they have completed in class or something else that they are working on.
