Is your child interested in writing? Does he or she need help organizing their thoughts and ideas to create a published piece of writing? If so, then this is the perfect class to allow your child to work through the writing process with teacher guidance. Students will use their imagination to come up with a story idea, and each week we will work on moving through the writing process from the beginning idea to the final published piece. Our first lessons will involve talking through ideas and creating charts, lists, or webs to organize the students overall thoughts. Then we will work on outlining the major story elements and writing out the story. We will conclude with editing and adding any finishing touches.

Students will learn to work through the writing process and will end with one or more published pieces.

I am excited to share my love of learning with Outschool students! I love teaching about science, Pokemon, math, and sight words!
I have a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Elementary Education and was a full-time classroom teacher for 11 years. I taught grades K-3, but first grade was my favorite! I have also been an online ESL teacher and a substitute teacher. This year I am excited to start a new teaching adventure: homeschool!
I live in Illinois with my husband and two boys. We love playing outside, watching movies, and going to Disneyworld! I also love cooking, baking, reading, and drawing.
I cannot wait to meet new students on Outschool! My goal is to have fun while learning, and I hope I can do that for each child that attends my classes.評論
