One of my parent reviews best describes my goal for this class: "If your child is stuck on getting started, Marcy has a way to pull out the 'stuckage' so to speak in a fun and patient way." PARENT I love to "unstick" the mind of the reluctant writer and to motivate and organize the mind of the enthusiastic writer in this one-to-one tutoring class. Working together with parent and child I will do my best to not only teach children how to creatively write but how to get those great ideas down...
I am the published author of over 25 books for children and have sold over 40000 copies on Amazon since 2012. Book series include BE THE VET, EVIE AND THE VOLUNTEERS, HAZEL: THE CLINIC CAT, NILES AND BRADFORD, CLARA AND TUNI, AND THIRD GRADE OUTSIDER. I give school talks to students about the writing process and encourage the following of one's passions and commitment to hard work despite setbacks. I hope to foster a love of learning and to help students to find joy in their writing. •BS in elementary education, over 10 years of experience •MS in educational administration
