Students will build early literacy skills, explore creative drama activities, and engage in sensory/craft activities related to the theme for the session.

Students will be able to:
- Use their voice, body, and imaginations to try on roles 
- Relate the story to real-world situations
- use creativity to create artwork related to the book or topic explored
- Practice early literacy skills in a safe and monitored setting:
—Reading (listening and responding to a story)
—Writing (Using fine motor skills During craft and/or activities)
—Singing (music and movement)
—Playing (animating their stuffed animal friends, acting out parts of the story)
—Talking (introducing themselves and their stuffed animal friends, and sharing their ideas throughout the session)

Students will respond and reflect on their experience sharing their thoughts and feelings.

Students are encouraged to extend the learning outside of the scheduled session by preparing for the session (gather stuffed animal toys, choose and wear their own outfit appropriate for the theme, share what they learned/did outside of the session)

Prepare for the session:
Gather favorite stuffed animal friends (Magical creatures suggested, but any stuffed animal friend is welcome. Students will likely have time to introduce only 1-3 friends)

Reflect and share after the session:
Show the artwork and describe it to a family member
Tell a family member about the session
Various other activities inspired by the theme to extend learning beyond the session
