In this class, we will travel to a high fantasy world and learn how to chart a ficitonal world map with rice and then embellish the map with ink and watercolors. Focus on topographical elements make up a large portion of this class, as I teach your learner how to add geographical detail to their map. -Get to know you & Welcome -Creative Discussion on high fantasy world maps, using existing examples from well known fantasy series -Map borders with spilled rice -Embellish geographical details with rice and watercolors -Name your fantasy world!

Students will make a high fantasy map and exerdcise their creative storytelling muscles by making geographical locations inside their fantasy world.

-one large sheet of craft paper(size up to you and your learner -3/4 cup rice -medium point sharpie or ink pen (Micron brand or other non-bleed pen highly recommended) -watercolor paints with paintbrush and water -markers/crayons
