LIFE SKILLS FOR SUCCESS In this class students will learn about important Life Skills to be a successful Cosmetologist. Students will gain an understanding, that staying focused in a salon environment will be key to their success. Students will learn that a salon is a social atmosphere. Here are some examples of what students will learn about; Guidelines for Success, Rules for Success, Motivation and Self Management, Goal Setting and Time Management. **Paper and Pencils will be needed...
Below are examples of some of the topics for classes part 1 & 2 that together, we will read, discuss and learn about in class. List the principles that contribute to personal and professional success. Create a mission statement. Explain how to set long-term and short-term goals. Discuss the most effective ways to manage time. Describe good study habits. Define ethics. List the characteristics of a healthy, positive attitude.
Presently, I am a licensed Cosmetologist with over 25 years experience. This experience is with servicing clients. Teaching new cosmetologist, just starting out assisting in the Hair Salon and Spa. Managing bridal parties, working bridal shows, runway shows and childrens birthday parties for hair, skin and nails. I have competed in numerous hair competitions, Including international hair shows in NYC. I have numerous certificates for different types of training in the Cosmetology field. I am a Master Colorist and Stylist. Previously, I was a Teachers Assistant for Astor Early Head Start program for Children.
