Aloha mai ‘oukou (hello you folks!) This course is a mākauʻola (life-skills), cooking. This course is designated to teach keiki (children) life-skills, such as preparing their own healthy meals like ‘āina ʻawakea (lunch) & meaʻai māmā (snacks.) We will cover step-by-step directions. We will learn hua ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian vocabulary) throughout this course. Prior manaʻo (knowledge) isnʻt required for this course.

through these language classes it is highly encouraged to sit near with your keiki to kāko’o (support) the nu’ukia (goal) of enrolling your keiki into this class.

Aloha! I’m ‘Anakē Kawehionalani from Hawai’i.
Learning & exploring with keiki absolutely make my pu’uwai (heart) smile! I’ve been teaching preschoolers, building positive relationships with nā makua (parents) & ‘ohana (families) since 2016.
As a kanaka wahine (native Hawaiian woman) it is my kūleana (responsibility) to perpetuate the Hawaiian Culture. As a kumu Kula (school teacher) I’d like to perpetuate the Hawaiian Culture by teaching the language, cultural practices, information about the land & sea, who we are, educational focus: reading, spelling, math, etc… , and so much more!
Ha’alele iā kākou (let’s go) perpetuate the Hawaiian Culture by learning together!
