This class will teach learners how to have basic conversation in Mandarin Chinese including asking and answering what someone's name is, how old they are and what color they like. Grammar used includes the verbs, to be, to be called, to like, how many and the descriptive marker for adjectives. VIDEOS will provide explanations and visuals to help learners understand the pronunciation and the grammar patterns. DIGITAL FALSHCARDS that include audio will assist learners in memorizing vocabulary. CHECKING FOR UNDERSTANDING activities are provided using google forms. ASSIGNMENTS are given for students to practice listening and speaking and teacher feedback will be given for these. CHARACTER WRITING assignments are provided and can be submitted to the teacher for feedback. All of the above are catered to the age of the learner. For example, a 6 year old learner will receive different video instruction than a 13 year old learner etc.
