完成二年級語言藝術和數學課程：第一學期

This class covers 2nd grade skills for semester 1 of both language arts and math.  Content for each is listed below.  Days will be broken up as follows: Day 1 - Math  Day 2 - Reading and phonics  Day 3 - grammar and writing

Math:
In this class, learners will be presented with lessons, worksheets, games, and materials that cover basic second grade math skills. This class is designed to follow common core standards that provide a comprehensive second grade math curriculum for the entire second grade year. It covers Operations and Algebraic Thinking such as skills for adding and subtracting, applying skills to word problems, practicing number facts, building a tens foundation in order to more easily add and subtract numbers with three addends, addition and subtraction with and without regrouping, and arrays.  It also covers  such topics as Numbers and Operations including place value, adding and subtracting by tens, place value chart to 120, Measurement and Data including, money, time, units of measurement, and Geometry.

Week 14: Two Step Subtraction Work Problems

Language Arts:
In this class, learners will be presented with lessons, worksheets, games, and materials that cover basic second grade language arts skills. This class is designed to follow common core standards that provide a comprehensive second grade language arts curriculum for the entire second grade year.  This class analyzes both fiction and nonfiction text as well as incorporates reading, grammar, phonics, and writing into the lessons.
Weekly lessons are as follows:
Week 1: ask and answer questions in fiction text/ long and short vowels/ group nouns 
week 2: fables and folktales/ vowel teams / irregular plural nouns 
Week 3: fables and folktales / other long vowels (ight, ild, ind, old) / common and proper nouns 
Week 4: character traits / two syllable words/ reflexive pronouns
Week 5: Poems / prefixes / verbs
Week 6: Poems / suffixes / syllabic spelling / past tense verbs 
Week 7: Point of View / prefix and suffix / irregular past tense verbs 
Week 8: Point of View / irregular spelling / subject and predicate 
Week 9 : Illustrations / open syllables / adverbs 
Week 10: compare and contrast / closed syllables / adjectives 
week 11: Retell and story comprehension / sounds of ou / conjunctions 
Week 12: Closed reading comprehension / sounds of au and aw / simple and compound sentences 
Week 13: Closed reading comprehension / soft c and g sounds / simple and compound sentences
Week 14: Nonfiction ask and answer / gh and ph / apostrophe
Week 15: Letters / homophones / commas
