In this one-time drawing class, students will learn to draw a realistic portrait of a corgi dog, using colored pencil (head to chest). Students are welcome to come to class with fun facts to share about dogs if they want. I will also share a few fun facts about these animals throughout class while we draw. During class, I will demonstrate each step for students and have students complete that step along with me. My classroom is a calm, fun, and creative environment where discussion...
1. Students will learn techniques for sketching a proportionate contour drawing (outline) of a corgi dog (head to chest). 2. Students will learn techniques for smooth blending, pencil application, gradient blending, and adding contrast. 3. Students will learn techniques for mixing colored pencils to create new colors.
