Students will learn the essential concepts of how to write a compelling and unique personal statement. The class will educate students how to systematically create a personal statement. In doing so, students will learn how to express their ideas concisely and effectively, thus conveying a well thought out personal statement for their college applications. 

With more than 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience in writing and English, I have helped thousands of students improve their writing skills. Specifically, I have tutored English and writing to thousands of high school and college students both on and off of the Outschool platform. As a former college counselor at the University of Southern California of four years, I reviewed thousands of college applications and helped many applicants improve their personal statements for college admission. Additionally, I have a Master's degree in Communication Management from The University of Southern California. My degree focused heavily on professional writing, and I have therefore learned and mastered the essential concepts to writing a cohesive, and well-thought-out essay.
