In this class students will be introduced to finding the circumference of a circle. We will break down the parts of a circle to then incorporate it into the formula. Students will learn to apply to formulas to find the circumference of a circle. They will choose the one that is the best fit based on the information provided. Once they have taken notes they will work on skill based problems. Students will have an opportunity to gradually apply the formula independently. They will then apply...
Students will learn to apply two formulas to find the circumference of a circle depending on the information provided.
This is a lesson that I have taught both in a public school with a class of 30 students and in private tutoring setting, and I have always been able to identify the misconceptions regarding this lesson. This helps me adjust the lesson to individual needs.
Please have students come to class prepared with a notebook, a pencil and at least two colored pens.
