美國 Kindergarten 年級
Welcome to Circle Time with Mrs. Tricia! This class is designed to be a fun filled, interactive class that gets your learner moving while practicing kindergarten readiness skills through high-interest weekly themes (such as pirates, dinosaurs, and fairy tales). Each week learners will practice a variety of skills in class including letter recognition, beginning phonics, sight words, reading and writing simple sentences, shapes, colors, counting, and simple addition and subtraction. ======================= Day 1 & Day 2 ======================= *Circle Time* -Welcome Song -Introduce weekly theme and letter of the week. *Writing Time* -Introduce the letter of the week and its sound -I will show learners how to properly form letters. We will practice writing together and then learners will have a few minutes to practice writing on their own. -Rhymes will be used to help learners remember how to properly form their letters *Reading Time* -Learners will be introduced to our sight word of the week and use a song to help us practice spelling it. During class learners will have an opportunity to read and create sentences using a simple sentence frame that highlights our weekly sight word. ======================= Day 3 ======================= *Guided Reading* -Each week we will read a sight word book in class that relates to our theme and highlights our sight word of the week. *Socialization/Game/Question of the Week /Directed Drawing -As time allows we will play a game, take turns answering/discussing a question of the week that relates to our weekly theme, or participate in a directed drawing activity. ======================= Day 4 ======================= *Math* -Each week we will spend day 4 focusing on a math skill. Math skills that will be covered in class include identifying numbers 1-20, counting up to 20, one-to-one correspondence, subitizing, identifying shapes, comparing quantities (more than/less than/equal to), recognizing simple patterns, and classifying items into groups by color or similarities. -Math lessons will follow the I do, we do, you do structure. Learners will have direct instruction with the target skill of the week followed by guided practice and an opportunity for independent practice. ======================= Day 5 ======================= *Review Concepts* -The last class of the week will be reserved for reviewing the concepts we have practiced on Monday-Thursday. Learners will review through discussion, games, and movement activities as they relate to our weekly theme. *Show and Share* -Learners are invited to bring one item to class to share with us that relates to our weekly theme or the letter of the week. ======================= Extra Practice ======================= Each week I will upload a packet of extra practice worksheets for you to use outside of class to continue practicing the skills that we have been working on in class. ======================= Muting During Class ======================= Please make sure that your learner knows how to mute/unmute themselves prior to class. I prefer to keep all learners unmuted to add an interactive element to class. However there may be times that learners may be muted during class to minimize background noise and facilitate direct instruction. ======================= Class Schedule ======================= *August Themes* Week of August 6th: Friendship (Letters of the week: Kk, Ff, Mm/ Sight word of the week: am) Week of August 13th: Ice Cream (Letter of the week: Ii/ Sight word of the week: like) Week of August 20th: Community Helpers (Letter of the week: Hh/ Sight word of the week: on) Week of August 27th: Five Senses (Letter of the week: Ss/ Sight word of the week: this) *September Themes* Week of September 3rd: Pets (Letter of the week: Pp/ Sight word of the week: is) Week of September 10th: Pajama Party (Letter of the week: Jj/ Sight word of the week: my) Week of September 17th: Kindness (Letter of the week: Kk/ Sight word of the week: and) Week of September 24th: Fall (Letter of the week: Tt/ Sight word of the week: the) *October Themes* Week of October 1st: Apples (Letter of the week: Aa/ Sight word of the week: are) Week of October 8th: Cozy Campfire (Letter of the week: Oo/ Sight word of the week: in) Week of October 15th: Nocturnal Animals (Letter of the week: Nn/ Sight word of the week: the) Week of October 22nd: Pumpkins (Letter of the week: Pp/ Sight word of the week: this) Week of October 29th: Halloween (Letter of the week: Hh/ Sight word of the week: fun)
