In this one time class, students will be learning to draw a beautiful Christmas ornament on watercolor paper. Then we will use watercolor paints to paint a bright and cheerful painting. Art freedom and fun will be emphasized in a relaxed setting. Learners feel free to bring sparkly markers, gel pens or glitter glue if they want to make their ornaments shine! Lessons will be in a "work with me format" with visual and audio step-by-step instructions. I will show my finished work at the start...

Learners will be practicing directed drawing and painting, along with gaining experience with different kinds of art supplies.
Non-toxic, child-safe watercolor paint set. Paint brushes - Small round brush. Cup of water. White watercolor paper. Copy paper will not be thick enough to hold up to the water. Pencil, eraser and cereal bowl to trace for the circle. Paper towel. Optional supplies: glitter glue, sparkle markers or sparkle gel pens.
We will be using a cup of water with our watercolor paints. Please make sure all electronics are protected from water spills. Use only non-toxic, child-safe watercolor paints. Only use non-toxic, child-safe glitter and glue. Supervision of liquid glue and glitter may be needed for children without experience.
