This one time class explores the history and varieties of cheeses. We will look at cheeses from around the world and explore how local ingredients and available milks sources have shaped regional flavors. We'll examine the differences between hard cheeses and soft cheeses. Have you ever wondered how cheese is made? Have you ever wondered how long ago cheese was "invented"? Join us and find out! Class Format: - Introductions - Lecture and discussion about Cheese History and Varieties of Cheeses - Fun Facts - Closing Discussion and Q & A If you want to go beyond the history of cheese and experiment with tasting and cooking cheeses. Single Learner Classes:
- Single learner classes will go ahead as scheduled unless learner and family request otherwise.
- Lesson may end early. If the lesson ends early there will be an extended discussion and Q & A. Learners may be released from class up to 5 minutes early if Q & A ends early.

Learners are encouraged to try a new cheese and post to the classroom about the experience. Learners may bring cheese to class if they would like to do a Cheese Show and Tell.
