Class Experience In this self-paced class learners will have a pre-recorded video where they can follow along to understand how to create a monogram at their own pace. The monogram, the learners will be creating, will be the first letter of their first name or first letter of their last name depending on which letter they want to use for their monogram. I will guide learners through the steps to create a monogram, however, learners will be using their letter of choice. I will include a PDF...

Week 1Lesson 1Celebrate Your Name Monogram Self-Paced Outline1. Brief history on monograms and go over supplies. 2. Discuss drawing and color pencil techniques. 3. Briefly go over a simple layout design. 4. Ideas for creating your monogram. 5. Begin monogram. I will be showing how to layout, design, and apply skills discussed earlier. This video highlights the letter A. I explain and show how to create a galaxy scene. You work on your monogram using your own letter you have chosen and draw what you like and hobbies to represent you on your monogram.

- Learners will learn how to create a monogram that is unique to them.
- Drawing and using colored pencils will be skills used in this class. I will be going over a few drawing and color pencil skills.
- I will explain and show how to put a monogram together, in order for them to tell a story on paper through their creativity in art as to what makes them unique and show their personality by adding a hobby and anything else they like to their monogram.
I was a substitute teacher and assistant for two years at a Montessori Public Charter School in a nearby local town. During my teaching experience, I had the opportunity to work with students ranging from kindergarten to fourth grade. I have experience in crafts, art, cursive, and calligraphy. I have studied and taken classes over several years growing up and as an adult. I want to share my expertise in these creative areas so learners may enjoy making artistic and creative artwork.

1 註冊後即可取得文件8.5 x 11 piece of paper, copy paper, sketch paper or slightly larger paper size (sketch paper, watercolor paper, or thicker paper recommended if using a paint marker or white paint when making a galaxy scene). Pencil Eraser Ruler (optional) Black marker Color pencils (if you are planning on creating a galaxy scene you need the colors: purple, blue, pink, at least and also yellow for the shooting star). White paint marker or white opaque paint and a small round paint brush (optional) -white watercolor paint won't work for this art project. Scissors (if cutting out one of the letters from the PDF to trace a letter onto your paper) PDF with the 26 letters - if using one of the letters provided on the included PDF.
Scissors (optional), however, please make sure your learner can safely cut out a letter from the included PDF if they choose to use the letter template guide to draw their letter. Learners may need help in printing off a letter from the included PDF. Markers, white paint marker or white opaque paint can possibly stain clothing and other items like desks, tables, etc. if accidently marked on these items while learners are using the markers or white paint. White paint marker or white opaque paint with a small, narrow paint brush or size 2 paint brush or smaller paint brush (if creating the galaxy scene).
