Students will begin by introducing themselves and sharing what they know/love about cats. I will read "Not Again, Mr. Cat" by Kimberly P. Johnson. We will then discuss cats while coloring or drawing pictures of cats (provided in handouts). We will talk and draw/color, and then show off our art work. The chat will be related to cats, and students may also bring their cat to class! How many people do you know with a cat? What is your cat's favorite thing to do? What is your cat's name? Does...
Students will discuss cats while working on social skills and coloring/drawing.
I have taught in public/charter schools for over 13 years. Listening to stories, communicating, and art are all very important for the development of young children.
