課堂經歷
Students will learn about the different members of the family in Cantonese. Students will interact socially by playing a fun family photo game, make a family tree poster, and play games to enhance their knowledge and communication skills. This will be a fun class where your child can meet different families from all over the world. This will be a small class where students can understand and absorb the materials better. If your child wants, they can even bring a photo of their family to share in class! Worksheets will be provided before class for students to work during class and even after class. (If a printer is not available please bring a piece of paper) *No prior Cantonese knowledge is required. *If these times don't work for you, feel free to message me for other days and times

Hello, my name is Joanne. Nice to meet you!
I was born in Hong Kong but moved to Canada when I was six years old. Growing up, my family speaks to me in Cantonese so I'm bilingual in Cantonese and English. After graduating from the University of Toronto with an Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Geography, I went back to Hong Kong to work. Working in Hong Kong for ten years has deepened my understanding of Chinese culture and language. I love both languages and use them daily with my family and friends.
I am now back in Canada and have been teaching children for over 10 years. I am a TESOL-certified online ESL teacher and currently teaching online ESL English and Cantonese to children in the US, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Korea from ages 4-13. I am also teaching Korean adults. I also have a ten-year-old son and we love to read, play in the park, and explore new places.
I believe you will learn more and be better at it when you are enjoying what you are doing. I love to make my students smile and laugh. I will use my bilingual skills and my experience with children to help each student to learn their best. My classes are fun, engaging, and educational. I am very patient with children and like to encourage them. We will sing and play games. It will be a fun class and I can't wait to see your child!評論
