課堂經歷
Day 1 (Tuesday) – Austria – Interactive presentation about Austrian culture, geography, and top tourist sites. Learners will also take a virtual vacation based on an itinerary provided. Students will also vote on the country they wish to travel to on Day 3 (the teacher will narrow the list of options to the more tourist friendly countries, with a write in option if a student has an interest in one not on the list) Day 2 (Wednesday) – France – Interactive presentation on French culture, geography, and potential tourist attractions. Students will work in small groups (or as individuals if they prefer) to develop a draft itinerary for a trip to France. Day 3 (Thursday) – TBD based on voting in Day 1 – Interactive presentation on the county’s culture and geography. Students will work in small groups (or as individuals if they prefer) to research tourist attractions to prepare and present a draft itinerary for a trip. For all three days, the interactive presentation will include the following topics: • Information on where to do internet research on travel basics (money, climate, language, visa requirements, immunization), and tourist sites. • Significant elements of culture which might influence vacation planning (language, food, religion, holidays, literature, entertainment, societal norms). • Pictures, music, and videos (most from the instructor’s experience)to present the key aspects of culture. I am happy to consider scheduling additional sections (or countries from United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine). Feel free to email me a couple of times that would be better for you. Requests that come with multiple learners who want to take the class together will be given priority.

- Apply research skills learned on Day 1 to find information on travel basics.

- Discuss pros and cons of potential tourist attractions to include in terms of transit times and diversity of sites visited.
Day 3:
- Apply research skills learned on Days 1 and 2 to find information on travel basics, and top tourist sites.
- Design a travel itinerary
