課堂經歷
This class is perfect for those just getting started in lettering, or those who want to learn how to do lettering! In this class, learners will first be taught how to write in a semi-block letter font, afterwards they will be provided with some guided practice. Lastly, they will be able to put they learn into action, and learn how to make the Birthday card shown in the class video. In this class learners will mostly be working independently, but are encouraged to ask questions or make comments throughout the class. They will also be encouraged to share their works of art throughout the class, and especially at the end. Learners do not need to have their cameras on throughout the class, but I will require them to turn it on for just a minute at the beginning of class for safety reasons. Learners do not need any previous experience with lettering.

Learners may be using scissors.

Learners will need 1 piece of cardstock paper, lined paper, 2 different colors of paint that go together (I would suggest acrylic paint,) a writing utensil, scissors (optional,) a Q-tip or a pencil with a new eraser, and something to first put the paint onto like a paper plate.

I have a passion for both teaching and learning!
I love to work on many different kinds of crafting and DIY projects, especially calligraphy and other kinds of lettering. Teaching and doing creative things myself is actually very relaxing for me. I love it! I'm always trying to find new and fun ways to express myself and my creativity.
I have had the opportunity to gain quite a bit of teaching experience working with general and special education students within public and charter Elementary and Junior High Schools. I gained a lot of experience teaching reading groups, and am fully comfortable helping students with their reading skills. I am currently working on my degree in Special Education, so I am comfortable working with children of all backgrounds.
I love doing my best to make a difference in the lives of learners, and have found that teaching on Outschool is the best way I can fulfill that. I truly care about my learners and the progress that they make.
