Have you ever wanted to learn how to do those really pretty designs on your own nails? Are you artistic and curious about nail art? Welcome to a great introductory course for nail art design. Each week we will focus on a different design. Students are welcome to try the design on their own nails but can just watch if they are unsure. This course is geared towards beginner to intermediate nail art. The design for each class will be shared ahead of time, but please contact me if you do not see it listed. Students are welcome to suggest a design or even demonstrate one for the class! The bare minimum requirement for this course is nail polish. Students will also need a dotting tool and nail art brush. We will primarily use the dotting tool so you can wait to purchase a nail art brush if you are not sure about what to purchase. However, you can find them relatively cheap on Amazon. I also offer a class covering proper nail care that might interest the student who wants to ensure the health of their nails. Sometimes it will be important for the students to come to class with their nails already painted in their base color. This information will always be shared with the students and posted in the classroom as a reminder. Below you will find the schedule along with the manicures to be taught. Week 1 : Simple French manicure. Students can use two colors of their choosing. *A nail art brush may be helpful in making the French line. Week 2 : Polka dot nails. *Students will need a dotting tool. Week 3 : Daisy flowers. *Students will need a dotting tool. Week 4 : Two-toned/gradient dotticure. *Students will need a dotting tool. We'll discuss possible design ideas each week. The students will get to have an input if they want to participate in picking out the next week's art. This class is open to anyone and everyone who enjoys nail polish and painting their nails. I will do my best to make all students feel comfortable. I have friends who are male and paint their nails so I do not see this as a 'female' hobby. Please reach out to me if you have any concerns.

Hello!
UPDATE: I am taking a break from Outschool. After the spring semester of 2024 ends, I will take a hiatus.
I offer a variety of science and math classes. I have close to ten years of teaching experience. I've worked with students of all ages including young adults. I experience teaching in the classroom and teaching virtually. I have a B.A. from Louisiana State University.
I've helped tutoring student reach their goals whether it's to pass a standardized test or get a passing grade in a course.
I think that a basic understanding of science enhances one's life. It opens up a world hidden to most people. Studying science and math helps children to develop critical thinking skills that can be applied to all areas of life. My goal in all my classes is to inspire the students to study science. I want them to always ask questions and to stay curious.
Please reach out to me if you don't see a time that works for your child. I will try to be accommodating if it is possible.
When I am not teaching or prepping for classes, I enjoy crafting, reading, working out, and spending time with my dog.
