This is a hands-on, interactive class for students to explore and discuss patterns. We will use actions and building bricks to make patterns with 2 different descriptors such as ABAB, AABAAB...We will use building bricks of different colors and sizes to make patterns. Students will all be encouraged to use their bricks to solve and create patterns. Students will interact with one another and myself through class. Students will learn to identify the parts of and to continue repeating patterns.
All students should have access to many colorful building bricks. If students have a baseplate, that would be helpful but is not necessary for the class.
