Do you have a book report to write and are not sure where to start? Did you know writing a book report is like making a sandwich? Yes, your read that right! If you have the right recipe and ingredients and you put them together in the right order, you can create a ‘delicious’ organized book report that you can be proud of! In this fun two-week class, students will learn how to write a structured book report. Each ingredient of the sandwich represents one of the 7 elements or 'layer' of...
Students will learn the components of a book report, story arc and the parts of a book. Students will learn the Sandwich Book Report technique which includes 7 elements. Students will learn new vocabulary, definitions and terms related to books. Students will learn how to organize their thoughts and write a creative book report. Learners will understand how to organize thoughts, create a rough copy and a final book report. My hope is to foster a love of reading and writing in each student!
