Join me in a reading adventure, designed for early Elementary School aged children. Kindergarten to 3rd grade reading levels. In this ongoing course, students will meet fellow book lovers and explore many types of reading materials. Each week, there will be an in class reading to discuss. We will read a book, short story, article, or poem together in class. Reading outside of the classroom is not required because we will read and discuss it in class. Students will improve reading fluency, comprehension, and critical thinking skills.
Readings will be completed in class. Students do not need to bring the reading materials because I will be screen sharing the material we will use doing class. A writing utensil and paper is recommended for some activities or if your student would like to take notes. This is not required, only recommended.
Please refer to the weekly schedule for the book list. I will keep it updated with the reading material we will use during class.
