The class will start by sharing what kind of donuts they brought to class.  
Then we will make predictions about what the dog will get after the donut using what the learners would want after getting a donut.
While reading the book the learners can enjoy their donuts.
After reading we will retell the story in our own words. During retelling, I will use Google Slides and graphics to help the learners remember what happened.
Last, I will use Google Slides so the class can create a story with the theme of If You Give a Dog...  
I will call on each learner to give me an item to give to the dog and put a graphic of the item on the slide.  After class, I will put a copy of our story in the classroom so they can read it at home and I will provide directions on how the learner can use the images on the slide to create their own illustrations of the book.
