In this birding class, we're going global! Each week we will look at a new group of birds, and explore the characteristics, distribution, adaptations, life histories, and fun facts of birds from all over the world. This is a great class for bird watchers and students interested in ornithology who want to learn more about the different groups of birds. This class is open to all students, regardless of previous experience or knowledge of birds. Classes do not build off each other. The class is designed so that students can take all of the classes or drop in to learn about their favorite bird group. This is a great class for anyone who loves to learn about new birds. It is lecture-based with multimedia presentations. Schedule for Classes: Nov 3 - Nov 9 New World Sparrows, Bush Tanagers Nov 10 - Nov 16 Chat-tanagers & Spindalises Nov 17 - Nov 23 Wrenthrush Nov 24 - Nov 30 Cuban Warblers Dec 1 - Dec 7 Yellow-breasted Chat Dec 8 - Dec 14 Oropendolas, Orioles, Blackbirds Dec 15 - Dec 21 New World Warblers Dec 22 - Dec 28 Mitrospingid Tanagers Dec 29 - Jan 4 Cardinals & Allies Jan 5 - Jan 11 Tanagers and allies More classes will be added as we go.
