[BIPOC: Black, Indigenous, People of Color ] All books selected for this class are by BIPOC authors and represent the BIPOC community. EVERY learner is invited to join, discuss, and learn together. I aim for inclusive classes. If there is any way to make this class more accessible for your learner please let me know. *all books selected have a reading age of 8 to 12. However, you know your child best. Some topics may be too mature, difficult, or otherwise feel inappropriate for your family...
Students will foster a love of the written word, celebrate diverse authors, and learn how to discuss literature.
Students are required to purchase, rent, or borrow a copy of the book listed for each week. The book should be read prior to class. Audiobooks are also an option for students!
