This course will explore a variety of topics that are related to veterinary science. (cats and dogs) This is a FLEX class, so there are NO LIVE MEETINGS. These recorded classes will be supplemented with some optional projects, worksheets and videos. Learners should have taken Advanced Veterinary / Vet Medicine 1 or have some previous vet related knowledge including; other Outschool vet science classes, watching veterinary shows on TV, reading vet related books, etc before enrolling. I have been a certified veterinarytechnician for more than 30 years, have a MEd from Colorado State University and and I am now finishing up my second Master’s program and will have a Master of Veterinary Education (MVEd) from Lincoln Memorial University’s School of Veterinary Medicine by spring 2024. I have been teaching at local colleges in veterinary Assistant Programs, and an equine studies program as well as a variety of Veterinary Science programs for grades 3-5, 6-8, and high school. I am also a homeschool mom! At home, my family has 3 mini horses, a Paint Horse, 4 Nigerian dwarf goats, 9 chickens and 2 cats! I am passionate about sharing my experience and love for animals and veterinary medicine with others!
