In this course, we will continue to build on the foundation of basic Spanish. This is a flexible schedule class, so there are no live meetings. If you have not taken this course, please contact me to make sure this course is the appropriate level for your student.
Every week, students will have instructional videos to watch about the topics for the week. We will also interact with the language on Flipgrid and the class discussion board. Students are expected to contribute and respond to other learn's posts and Flipgrids. Students will also have a written assignment each week and a Kahoot practice to solidify their skills. At the end of each week, students will have a vocabulary quiz to test their knowledge.
Here is the schedule for what we will cover each week:
Week 1 Topics: Review of the Present tense (and the irregulars), Verb Vocabulary, Adjective Review, Reading/Writing Practice
Activities: Present Tense Worksheet, Class Discussion Topic, Flipgrid Response of Reading or Writing Activity, Vocabulary Quiz
Week 2 Topics: Present Progressive tense, Clothing/Shopping Vocabulary, Listening Practice, Comparative Adjectives

Week 3 Topics: Imperfect Tense, Childhood Vocabulary, Direct Object Pronouns, Listening Practice

Week 4 Topics: Preterite Tense, School Vocabulary, Indirect Object Pronouns, Reading Practice, Listening Practice

Week 5 Topics: Irregular Preterite Verbs, Accident/Hospital Vocabulary, Reading/Writing Activity, Listening Practice

My journey with Spanish began when I was twelve years old. I fell in love with the language and continued to learn through High School. I have an Undergraduate and Master's degree in Spanish, and I have taught High School Spanish for over 6 years.
