In this multi-day class we will be discussing the book The One and Only Ivan. Learners will be responsible for getting a copy of the book and reading the assigned pages for our class. Each learner will be required to have their own copy of the book. As a group we will dive deep into a respectful conversation of the assigned reading. All students will be given an opportunity to respond and discuss the characters and events in the story. We will not be reading this book during the class...
Students will learn to discuss a book in-depth and be able to use the key reading skills to enhance the discussion.
I am a classroom teacher with 19 years of experience. I am currently certified in Elementary (K-6), and Special Education (K-12). I also have a reading endorsement to help struggling readers.

Each week learners will be assigned a reading to do for the following week. When you sign up you will get the initial assignment. There will not be anymore then 60 pages to read each week or a little over 8 pages a night.1 - 2 每週課外時間
