In this course, students will learn the basics of playing ukulele: holding the instrument, tuning, strumming, and basic chords. I will teach both from live video feed, and slides equally. Music is a collaborative experience and student interaction is greatly encouraged. A ukulele is required to participate in this course. No prior knowledge of the instrument is needed. Students will learn the following skills: -Tuning -Holding the ukulele -Strumming (with either fingers or a pick, whichever is more comfortable) -Holding a C, F, and G chord -Playing Rain, Rain in 2 different keys -Playing London Bridge -Playing If You're Happy and You Know It -Playing Happy Birthday To You -Playing The Bear Went Over the Mountain -Performing for and being an audience member
