Bonjour! My name is Laura. I am a French native speaker and I teach the class in French. I do translate as needed to help the learners to understand and memorize what they are learning.  The class is for children from 8 to 12 years old. Some French is recommended before signing for this class but not mandatory if you apply yourself. 

The book and the workbook Les Loustics 3 are mandatory and learners must have them before starting class.

During our weekly lesson, we read, listen, and watch French videos, we work on comprehension, oral expression, and writing. 
I am a fun teacher, I have a lot of patience, and I like to encourage the students to speak and write. À bientôt!

Week 1: Qu'aimerais-tu emprunter à la bibliothèque? What would you like to borrow at the library/ Grammar and vocabulary on the library topic. French comics. 
Week 2: Workbook exercises in relation to last week's topic. 
Week 3: Tu les connais? Do you know them? 
Learning about stories, children's movies, and cartoons. Stories reading practice and analysis. 
Week 4: Workbook exercises in relation to last week's topic. Crosswords. To know verbs in French in the present tense. Reading of text, analysis, and answering questions in relation.
Week 5: Quelle histoire préfères-tu? Pourquoi? Which story is your favorite? Why? 
Practicing asking questions about a short story. Learn to share your opinion. 
Week 6: Workbook exercises in relation to last week's topic. Qui/Quand/Comment
Week 7: Dis-moi pages/Tell me pages
Vocabulary review of the unit. Verbs at the past tense review. Read, translate, and repeat with proper intonation. 
Week 8: Grand Doc pages reading of texts.  Review start. "Je révise" pages. 
Week 9: Review of the unit and catch up.
