A Novella is a short novel usually made up of 10 chapters and between 10,000 and 40,000 words. In this class learners will follow guides given by the teacher to plot out their own novella, receive different writing tips each week to help with their writing, and a prompt to guide their story for that week's chapter using a video link posted by the teacher in the classroom. Learners will then write their own chapter and submit it for feedback in the classroom by either posting the text in the classroom or posting a link. Learners should take the feedback and use it to improve their stories. There will also be discussion questions posted in the classroom for learners to respond to. Information will be presented through video links each week for learners to watch on own where writing tips will be given as well as assignments, which will also be posted in the classroom. Learners will be assigned to write one chapter per lesson. Learners will interact with the teacher through discussion questions given in the classroom as well sharing their work in the classroom.

I am a former Home School student who has never stopped learning! I love history and telling stories verbally and through writing, and I want to share that passion with others. I believe the statement is true: “Those who don’t learn from History are doomed to repeat it.” We need to learn from the past to shape our own futures and the world in general. I believe the best way to learn about history is to learn about the people who lived through it and what they experienced and tell their stories. I love telling stories through writing and enjoy public speaking, so storytelling is a natural combination of the two.
I have 4 years of teaching experience in a variety of places from teaching/coaching drama and dance for homeschoolers in a group setting, to homeschooling two young children for a few months, to teaching English as Second Language (ESL) to college students, to teaching Arts and Crafts at a Summer Camp. I am currently a ESL teacher online with VIPKid. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Communication from Stevenson University.
I love to travel both in the US and internationally. I’ve spent time in almost every state on the East Coast and driven through the rest. I’ve visited seven different countries and lived in Asia for 17 months.
