課堂經歷
This class is scheduled as a self paced class. That means, we won't have any live meetings, but we will still interact with assignments and personal feedback. This course is broken up into 6 different lessons. You will have a photo taking assignment after each lesson. After you have completed your assignment, you will upload your photo to the classroom for personal feedback. It is highly recommended that you complete your assignment and receive feedback before you go on to the next assignment. Please Note: This is a hands on class that works best with students submitting photographs for discussion.

Students will learn the basics of how to use a camera. Students will learn how to choose and showcase a subject using various techniques such as framing, depth of field, and the rule of thirds. Students will learn how to use a zoom feature on their camera to take photos from a longer distance. Students will be able to take portraits. Students will be able to improve their photo taking skills by using the techniques taught in this course.

How to use your camera
Get to know each of the buttons/features of your camera. We will go over the power button, how the lens works, flash, autofocus, view finder. We will also learn a few tips and tricks.
Assignment: Take pictures to get to know your camera. Choose your best photo to share for feedback. 1 作業

Showcasing your Subject
What is the subject of your picture? How do you showcase your subject in the best way? Some topics discussed will be the framing technique, rule of thirds, and filling the frame.
Assignment: Choose a subject and showcase your subject using one or more of the techniques we discussed in the lesson. 1 作業

Focus
Choose a subject and work on using your focus to bring attention to it. We will revisit autofocus, and discuss how to move your focus away from the center of the frame. We will talk about the difference between auto and manual focus.
Assignment: Create a photo where you are using your autofocus to make sure your subject is the sharpest part of the photo. 1 作業

Zoom
How to take photos from far away. Learning how to best judge your distance when taking photos.
Assignment: Use your zoom to take pictures of something from far away. Don't forget to use all of the other information we've learned to create an amazing shot! 1 作業

Parents may need to assist students with uploading photos from their camera to the classroom.
供應清單
Students will need a digital camera to complete this course. It does not have to be anything fancy or high-tech. As long as it takes pictures, it's fine!
