課堂經歷
In this four day class, we will look at similes, metaphors, personification, idioms, alliteration, hyperbole, and onomatopoeia. Learners will identify figurative language in writing and practice using it in their own writing. In each class two types of figurative language will be introduced (with exception to the last week where we will introduce onomatopoeia and review what we have covered). We will journey through our lesson, identify figurative language in texts, practice writing our own,...
Learners will improve their knowledge of figurative language and why it is useful to writers and readers. They will gain a deeper understanding of identifying it in texts as well as using it in their own writing.
I have a B.A from The University of Tennessee in English and Education. I have had the opportunity to teach and write on a variety of levels for the past 16 years.
A pencil and paper are suggested for each class. There will be documents for some weeks that will be found in the classroom.
