1 on 1 course that will be catered to your child’s interests.. I have an unlimited amount of lessons.. we can do these lessons once, twice, or more times per week depending on what type of schedule you prefer.. I will list off my availability for 1 on 1 times and you can choose what time works best for you and your child each week. These lessons we will go over open chords, basic strumming patterns, switching between chords, guitar tablature, using a guitar capo, notes on the fretboard, Power chords, seventh chords, Pentatonic scales, blues and rock chord progressions, Playing songs, and singing… These lessons are meant to cater to your child’s interests.. I can teach specific songs and teach certain subjects your child may be interested in.. or I can even help your child get ready for an upcoming performance they are gearing up for, or working towards! I’m looking forward to these one on one lessons with your child!

The ultimate learning goal is to develop a love for music. Once the child enjoys playing and learning, the rest takes care of its self. They will be well on their way to becoming a musician and having this skill and passion for the rest of their lives!

Please tune guitar before the lesson. This can be done with a guitar tuner, or a free app on a smart phone (Fender Tune App is my favorite).

Hi everyone!
My name is Jon, and I teach guitar and run a Fortnite gaming club for students looking to improve their education or learn new skills.
I have been a music teacher and musician for over 18 years. I have been involved in personal music projects such as live-streaming performances, in-person concerts, and writing and recording music. Sports is my other passion, and I have participated in various aspects, including coaching my 8-year-old son's soccer and basketball teams. I am actively engaged in fantasy sports (football, basketball, baseball, hockey) throughout the year. I am also very passionate about video games, with gaming there are many opportunities to improve our life skills in team building, leadership, and communication.
I hold a Bachelor of Management Degree from the University of Lethbridge, majoring in General Management. My goal is to design classes that align with my skill set and cover topics I am passionate about.
The values and philosophy behind my classes are that learning should be fun, and the best way to achieve this is to learn new skills and make them your own. As a father of two young children (8 and 3) I understand the importance of learning and proper guidance.
